Refurbishment of Agricultural Building

Smallman & Son have recently completed a refurbishment project on agricultural buildings in the Loughborough area.  The job consisted of:

• Stripping off the existing flat roof covering to a store room
• Installation of a single layer of torch on mineral cap sheet, including all up stand details
• Connect into existing site gas main (150mm NB MDPE yellow) adjacent to the proposed new facility
• Cut hard standing to line, break out and excavate the service trench up to the line of the existing building
• Install new 50mm NB gas service to the outer wall and run in steel to the service entry pipe prior to entering the building with a manual ECV
• Remove existing suspended LPHW unit heaters and associated brackets, and then replace with new ones
• Isolate and remove the existing electrical installation, right back to the distribution board
• Replace the existing distribution board with a new 6 way, 3 phase board – complete with appropriate sized RCBO’s & MCB’s
• Install a new lighting system, comprising of 20 NR corrosion proof fittings, enclosed with new steel lighting trunking and conduit system
• Install 2 NR corrosion proof fittings to the existing store area
• Install 7 NR 8W bulk head emergency light fittings, complete with local test switch facility
• Install 4 NR wall mounted corrosion proof fittings in the area opposite the garage door
• Install 1 NR 150W Son floodlight over the front roller shutter door, complete with photocell and time clock control
• Install 10 NR metal clad double power sockets throughout the building, wired in PVC cable, enclosed within steel conduit and trunking
• Install electrical supplies for 1 NR compressor, 2 NR car lifts, 1 NR water heater, 2 NR high level heaters and 1 NR pray booth

All of the above was carried out to the customers satisfaction and for the net sum of £28,250.00
