High Sheriff of Leicestershire’s Charity Race Day

Diana Thompson held a charity race day at Leicester Racecourse to raise money for two local charities – Warning Zone and Peter Le Marchant Trust. Warning Zone is a charity based in Leicester city dedicated to teaching life skills and safeguarding children. Peter Le Marchant Trust is a Loughborough-based charity and has over forty years’ experience providing day outings and holidays on the waterways for people of all ages with any kind of disability or serious illness.

Smallman & Son were proud to be one of the local businesses that sponsored the event. It was a fun and successful day. A total of £38,425 was raised on the day to be shared between the two chosen charities. We were happy to secure the canal boat ride auction prize with Peter Le Marchant Trust; we plan to host a networking event on the canal boat – bringing local businesses and partners together to raise awareness of this inspirational local charity.
