We Care About Our Community
Smallman & Son launched their own charitable foundation under the umbrella of the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation. Our company decided to support the young people within those local communities as it reinforces the CSR Programme they operate under.
We are involved with supporting numerous local charities including LOROS, Rainbows Hospice and Soft Touch Arts. Our foundation focuses primarily on projects for young people and children to improve their quality of life, encouraging new experiences and building their confidence.

This foundation was initially funded by money donated from Smallman & Son Ltd and is periodically added to by the Company and through staff initiatives including donations. One of the first donations to be made through the fund was for a table football (pictured above) given to the Youth Club based at Bagworth Community Centre following the completion of our refurbishment project at the Centre.
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Programme (CSR), we support a number of other local charities by attending their fundraising events and being involved with various sponsorship opportunities.
In addition we support other community projects, by donating our time and expertise. We have worked with Babington Community College’s Simply Talents event which involved leading and guiding a group of Year 10 students to organise a Talent Competition at their new College in the City.
We also work with local colleges in providing apprenticeships for young people to give them an opportunity to gain experience in the work place at the same time as learning a trade/profession.
