Making A Step Forward
There is a wealth of expertise and specialist knowledge in the management of the projects that are carried out adhering to DDA legislation.
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) was brought into force in 1995 to end the discrimination that many disabled people face and improve the access and navigation around public environments.
We have worked on a selection of projects that require DDA alterations and installations such as:
- Automatic doors
- Access doors
- Access ramps
- Specialist toilet and bathroom installations
- The installation of communication aides.
Some of our previous clients that we produced work for concerning DDA were Regent College who required extensive works including installation of automatic powered door assist mechanisms, K lock installation, hold open devices connected to corridor doors and linked to fire alarms, safety flooring and various mechanical and internal jobs.
We also took on a local project for the Bagworth Community Centre which required a complete refurbishment internally and externally. This included doing extensive works on their DDA requirements in order for the building to be fully accessible to those with disabilities.
