Ward kitchen refurbishments at Bradgate Mental Health Units.

We have been awarded with the contract to convert the existing Satellite Bar into a new science lab.

Smallman and Son have been awarded various contracts for the HMP which will stretch well into the New Year at Woodhill, Gartree, Leicester, Long Lartin and Exeter.

Projects include:

HMP Gartree:

Relocation of Offenders Management Unit.  Installation of security suspended ceiling.  Upgrade of lighting and power. Flooring and decoration and bespoke shelving.

HMP Leicester:

Extension to reception area to include security fencing and gates.

HMP Long Lartin - CAT A:

Refurbishment of clothing store to include safety flooring.  Refurbishment of weights room to include specialist resin floor covering, lighting, shower and changing areas.

Terraced commercial premises currently vacant and of two storey construction. Can be rented in its totality or by floor.

Ground floor consists of shop front split into two office areas with separate W/C and kitchen with a further two offices at the rear - 580 sq ft (53.89 sq mt). First floor consists of reception/office and an additional three offices with separate W/C and kitchen - 456 sq ft or 42.36 sq mt).  Both floors have independent access.

HMP Frankland Contract

Smallman & Son were awarded a refurbishment contract for HMP Frankland.  The contract is to include bespoke joinery manufactured from our own internal workshop.

September has been a busy month!

Tenders in this month include Isle of White Council, refurbishment contract, HM Prison Services Exeter and Cherwell District Council design and build at a prestigious grade 2 listed building.

Appointment of Tim Revell

Design and build contract for Babington College was delayed again due to planning office and the four week contract was reduced to two weeks.  Smallman & Son are pleased to confirm that the contract was completed in two weeks, on time and to budget, once again with very a satisfied client.

With continued success's at local HM prisons Smallman & Son are being invited to tender for contracts that cover most of the country, areas covered include the Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest and much of the Midlands.

Completion of Glen Parva shower block refurbishment.  A twelve week contract that due to extensive re-scheduling was completed a head of time in just ten weeks.  This obviously resulted in a very satisfied client.

Smallman & Son were awarded a design and build contract for the main reception at Babington College, the contract was a four week project.

We have recently been awarded a twelve week contract to refurbish shower blocks in the sports facilities at HMPYOI Glen Parva, Leicester.

HMP Nottingham

We have recently been awarded a sixteen week contract to refurbish sixteen shower blocks at HMP Nottingham.

South Wilford CofE Primary School

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 24 week contract in partnership with Henry Mein Architects of Nottingham.  We will be building two new classrooms at the South Wilford CofE Primary School, Wilford, Nottinghamshire.

HMP Gartree

Smallman and Son are pleased to announce that they have been awarded the refurbishment of the proposed Paint Workshop and additional holding rooms to the MDT suite at HMP Gartree.

We look forward to working closely with the Prison Service again.
