Movers and Shakers at 2015 ProCon Awards

December 19th, 2015 by Alex Kowalczuk

Many construction and property professionals in Leicestershire look forward to autumn and the annual celebration that is the ProCon Leicestershire Awards. Tickets for this year’s event sold out in just over four hours so clearly this remains a must-attend event for the county’s movers and shakers in property and construction. As ProCon members and a Patron, Leicestershire’s Smallman & Son were delighted to attend.

Now in its thirteenth year, over 600 developers, architects, designers, contractors, construction professionals and their guests enjoyed a prestigious, sell-out ProCon 2015 Leicestershire Awards evening held at the King Power Stadium in early November. TV presenter and author Tony Hawks hosted the event, which also saw a raffle raise more than £7,000 for Leicester youth charity Soft Touch Arts. Soft Touch is a Leicester charity close to our hearts here at Smallman & Son because we worked on the refurbishment of their new £1.1m arts facility in New Walk, officially opened by HRH, The Earl of Wessex in April.

The six ProCon Leicestershire Awards span a range of innovative new build schemes across Leicestershire and Rutland. Each year award applications are submitted over the summer, judged by an expert panel, with three finalists selected in each built environment category to be voted for by Procon members. The 2015 awards ceremony announced and again provided a fitting showcase for a stunning array of winning new build projects in the six categories.
