Construction Design Management (CDM)

Construction is one of the most challenging and potentially dangerous industries to work in and the risk of health and safety harm is high. Add to this the ever-changing legal requirements the risk of negligence is even higher.

However, working with a professional CDM Coordinator such as Smallman & Son can help reduce these risks.

As CDM Coordinator our main duties will include:

• advise and assist the client with their duties

• notify details of the project to HSE

• co-ordinate health and safety aspects of design work and co-operate with others involved with the project

• facilitate good communication between the client, designers and contractors

• liaise with the principal contractor regarding ongoing design work

• identify, collect and pass on pre-construction information

• prepare/update the health and safety file.

In-house Joinery

From our in-house joinery facility we can manufacture a large range of joinery items on a supply only or a supply and fix basis.
